Default Hood Support (for hood prop) Need part number for 2005 xB..

You know that little plastic piece that holds the hood prop? Why this is made of cr@ppy plastic is beyond me, but the little holder where the prop sits broke off.

If you have the part number, would be appreciated.

Did a search and did not find anything.

Thanks!

I got my gas shocks for like $60 on ebay. If I can find my prop rod I'll send it you if you pay shipping.

Thanks
Dennis

Don't need the rod, just the support for it. It is a white plastic piece that the rod sits in.

You should be able to walk into the dealer and have them pull up the schematic for the front supports and pull the PN for ya

It *might* be 5345552050, but the crash guide for that area is terrible so I'm not sure. That part is labeled as "release cable clamp", but the drawing looks a lot like the prop rod clip. If it is the right part it should be around $8.35.

I came up with the same part number of 5345552050

Thanks all!

I just got mine at the dealer and it really is flimsy......just a little tug and the rod and clip come out.....there has to be a better way. I will try threading a nut on there somehow, not too much room.....
