^ agreed dude. I seriously regret getting rid of the box. I hope others see this post and reconsider getting rid of their boxes...
Anyway, after speaking with the benz dealer and telling them their wheels are made out of butter, the manager said that my new rim + 2 tires -IS- covered under the wheel and tire protection plan. thank god man.... I'm picking up the car today without any cost.
What sucks is that now i'm going to be driving this thing like a grandma so i dont get another flat/etc. im going to see if i can pick up 4 rims + tires on the cheap ($1000 or less) to throw onto this thing... i dont care if they're hideous - at least i wont have to worry about hitting a small pothole and having $2,000 worth of damage done.... I could have hit the same pothole in the xB and NOTHING would have happened.... sigh...... =/
anyway, im never getting another flashy car again in my life. it's totally not worth it. the benz is nice and everything but not at the cost of durability.
I'm also returning my 2008 Hummer in november and I think i'm picking up a gen2 xB with the scion pure lease - it's $1k down and $289 a month or so. I'm probably putting down $3k and having the payments come down closer to $200.
I swear to god - if anyone knows where i can get some 18x8.5 steelies for cheap, let me know. i'm going to be driving the benz like people do their 10 year old civics/camrys. lol. and now i know why.
