Default Injen Technology - Parts for your Scion

The Scion is one of the hottest cars released in the U.S targeted at the younger car buying generation. Leading the charge under the Scion badge is the xB model. The xB gains points in styling and price, unfortunately it lacks in performance.

This is where Injen Technology steps in. By acquiring a Scion xB from Scion USA, Injen Technology has been able to fully design, test, and manufacture a high quality intake system, stainless steel exhaust system, and engine dress up accessories and make it very affordable to the average consumer.

Starting with the intake system, Injen Technology removed the restrictive stock intake system and replaced it with a high performance show quality piece. The Injen IS2100 is manufactured out of 6061 CNC-Mandrel Bent Aluminum tubing. The Injen IS2100 utilizes minimal bends (2) to maximum airflow and air velocity into the small 1.5L motor. Injen Technology also includes a vibration mount, stainless steel clamps, reinforced Injen silicone hose, solenoid relocation bracket, special Injen xB emblem, and a high flow urethane air filter that has a built-in velocity stack. The IS2100 is pending CARB exemption.

To compliment the Injen Technology’s show quality intake system in the engine bay, Injen Technology has developed some show quality engine dress-up accessories. Specifically, it will be a replacement polished aluminum engine cover (SC2100P) and a billet aluminum oil cap (IO2046P). All parts are bolt-on and does not require any modifications.

As Injen Technology enters into 2004, soon to be release will be its new stainless steel exhaust system for the Scion xB. Manufactured from T304 stainless steel, this axle back system is a complete bolt-on product. Does not require any modification to the hangers or rear bumper. The SES2100 features 100% stainless steel construction, CNC mandrel-bent tubing, robotic TIG welding, Injen embossed logo on a 4” double wall, angle cut tip, and special Super SES logo for your rear bumper. The SES2100 also complies with California’s exhaust decibel limit of 95db without the use of a silencer.

!!!These are prototype pics only!!! Final piece will be robotically TIG welded.

Consider Injen Technology products as your first choice for your Scion xB. Injen Technology is leading the way to bringing the consumer the best performing parts with the highest quality materials and workmanship with Dyno Proven Horsepower Not Hype.

I've installed the Injen intake and think it's nice piece, but this there are some issues about this intake that Injen should address here.

The location of the mount on the intake pipe is such that the pipe has little or no play. This means that the intake pipe is rather rigid, even with the rubber mounting. This places some undue strain of the throttle body when revving the motor (motor moves, intake moves a little). I don't know if this could be a problem in the future, but I think the fitment could be improved with a more flexible connection.

Also, the location of the vacuum hose is upstream of the mass air flow sensor. I've heard that this can contaminate the MAF with oil vapor. Is this true? This also makes me wonder about the oil catch can shown in the photos. Isn't this the function of this type of device. Injen comments?

Not that I have anything against Injen but what about warranty issues. Are there any guidelines as far as what can be installed from your company that will not viod the Scion warranty (especially if your opting for the 7yr 100K one). Thanks for any help.
