Default KBB says my xb worth more than a new one, retail!!!

Hahahaha!! I just saw another post about the tc trade in price, so I figured I'd check out my xB. KBB says retail (open market) with no added options I oughta be able to get $15,170 for a $14,000 car.... SCIONS APPRECIATE!!!!

hahaha that is so funny. That's about what I paid after taxes, and being able to get that back and basically have only paid for gas while I used my car would be cool, but I ain't trading it in!!!

Yeah, You gotta love Scion's resale values!

One thing I am upset about is the fact that you cant add the accesories to the value. I added $1200 worth, that is not reflected in KBB's value.....

KBB is often over inflated anyway

Anyone who'd buy a used xB for $15,000 deserves to be soccer kicked in the back of the head

how did u get 15100 ? do u have like under 6k miles ? what did u pick , retail , trade in , or private party. cuz if my car was bone stock with my mileage i'm getting crap back. like 10,400 trade in , 12,499 private , and 14,459 retail.

I do however have manual and 17000 miles on my 05. hmm... maybe the area codes really do affect pricing.

I friend of mine was looking for a used one for his daughter, and the cheapest he could find (at a dealer) was $15,400 for a used 2005 with 10k miles. autotrans and cruise was the 2 options it had. At the least, I would say they are holding good.

Really? I bought mine in April and up here they are giving them away (sort 0f). There were a bunch of 2004's in the 12-13000 range. All with decent miles. There was a 2005 BCP with 10k miles for $11,900. It's almost worth it to fly up here and buy one. I don't think used dealers around here know what they are worth. that and Scions are just starting to catch on up here.

Just last week I bought my 2005 automatic with 4516 miles on it. Accessories were a 6 cd changer and floor mats. They threw in the cargo cover. My price $14,995. The clincher was the "certified" pre-owned status which gave me a 6 year warranty.

retail is what a dealership would be asking, not what you would sell it for. private party would be what you wanna look at. although it is funny that its so high. oh, and 17000 miles on an 05? that is what hurt yah. to much miles.

Dealers seem to know what they are worth in Southern california, and the even think its worth 3k more.. Ive seen sevearal stealerships price 18k for a 24,xxx mile xb with auto trans and only a few OEM accessories.

All these prices mentioned are the ASKING PRICE. If you want to get an idea of what they are actualy going for, check the completed listings on e-bay. For the few that are selling, no one is getting more than sticker. Modifications MIGHT add more value to the car, but you would be doing well to get a return of more than .50 on the dollar.

For an economy car, the xB is holding a good deal of it's original purchase price. You just don't find a lot of suckers willing to pay more than the original sticker price, but you can't blame a guy for trying.....

I checked my Kelly Blue Book value and it was $16,000 in excellent condition even with my 17k miles. Good condition if selling privately would be around $14,500 (pretty much what I paid for it last year)

Also you have to realize that these are really good cars. Someone will pay the price listed to get these cars. I got offered 14k for my car as is and I declined the offer
