Default Loud system. How to stop license plate frame rattle

Anyone have any tips for this? It's not the plate. It's the part above that houses the handle and license plate lights. Every time the bass hits I hear that annoying resonant vibration of it and it's driving me nuts!

Adjust your latch to close tighter. I've done it on all of my system'd cars. Also, wrap the latch mechanism in styrofoam. It's worked hundred percent of the time for me. I've told plenty of people on here to do it and its worked.

Everything has a resonant frequency and at that frequency that particular object will vibrate. When I used to compete in IASCA Sound-Offs we used to mount Dynamat to whatever surface/object/panel that was vibrating. Sometimes it would take a small amount sometimes morte but I could always eliminate the ratlle. Try attaching small amounts of this to your panels. I've also used it on the back of license plates to eliminate the rattle. Hope it helps.

I was cheap and went to home depot, bought the foam rubber strips used for insulating doorways. Stuck it on the back of the license plate which helped the vibrating quite a bit.

Well I bought some Second Skin Damplifier Pro and did some deadening in the hatch. Let me say....that stuff is the bomb! Most of the extra rattles are gone now (at least inside to me...lol). Also deadened the front doors finally and my Polk speakers have now come to life. Even has that luxury car sound when you close the doors now. I originally skipped the deadening thinking that the power I was going to be using wouldn't be enough to justify it. Now that I'm in the process of boosting the power over 7x what I have now I knew it was time to get busy. Still have some tweaking to do, but all in all much better! Lesson learned.... I'll never do a build without sound dampening again.

I have always used rubber grommets along with sound dampening.
