Default Low idle? Rough Idle?

Ever since I got my car(brand new) it has always had a fluctuating idle issue(when I hit the clutch and come to a stop in goes down and up,down/up,then slowly settles) is this normal? Also,I had to change a burnt out headlight recently and it was such a pain in the ___..and very cold,I failed to put the battery tie-down back on and the throttle cable is just hanging loosely in the engine bay now, Is this bad? My Idle seems to have dropped about 200 rpms at idle since then and my car vibrates now when I'm sitting at idle.

1. makes no difference what year your xa is, all the same motor/drivetrain
2. if your throttle cable is that loose, you need to get that fixed asap.
3. Occasionally idle will "boggle" but it should be respectfully smooth sitting at typical idle rpm. Which, i can't remember off the top of my head but i believe its around 850rpm-950rpm. Some where in that range.

If your throttle cable is that loose, it can and more than likely would be the cause of your constant rough idle.

take your car to your local scion dealer and have them fix your problem before they tell you it's your fault and they aren't covering it under warranty.
