Glad I just discovered this forum! I have a 2006 Scion xB with just under 332,000 miles on it! Does this make me the winner?

05 xB 215,000 had it 4 years so far, got it at 135k. This engine is a tank. So easy to work on for simple stuff.

Favorite car out of the almost 20 I've owned. She's a good girl.

Default 2006 xB, 377k, still alive..

377k. 1st owner. On second battery. Third alternator. New set of coil packs. Totally justifies the argument for regular oil changes.

I should pass 200,000 this year. With a 10 min commute and 4+ cars I will probably not catch up with you. Well done.

224,000 miles on my 2004 xB. Like yours, burns a lot of oil, but no drips or smoke. The guys at Valvoline are used to me topping off about a month after my oil change. Seems like I'm adding a quart every 1000 miles.

Other than that, the car is doing great. Had to have the entire A/C system changed, but I think it had more to do with lousy mechanics.

Default High Mileage 06 xB..

I bought the beast 9/25/2005, 11 miles.

Currently it has 444,680 on 9/2/2020 on original motor and transmission. I'm a religious oil changer and have used Mobile 1 full Syn @ 5000-7500 miles.
I got here by driving to a job for the last 12 years that was 30k annually plus personal travel.

Issues I've had have been few:
Drivers front wheel bearing, alternator, A/C compressor just last Fall 2019.

Still averages 30 mpg but uses half quart of oil every 500 miles.

I'm not a usual poster on forums, but this car deserves the effort to tell it's story, it fixed my financial life! And saved me untold thousands. Everyone I know and work with knows the story because it's been with me 15 yrs now.
Recently I was issued a company take home vehicle, so I've lent out the "box" to my friend to save him gas money and keep the box moving, my biggest fear was seeing it lock up from weekend driving.

It's taken me thru everything, rain, snow, ice, you name it, Midwest life and everything she throws out. Never stuck, and I've jump started many trucks and cars with it. It's as good as any truck I know, I've hauled doors, windows, water heaters, kitchen cabinets (5 at a time)
and countless other things. My niece got married fall of 2019, yes after the A/C broke, and I drove it 350 miles each way to attend her wedding on a bet that it wouldn't make it, not only did the box make it, I averaged 32mpg! And I collected a lot of crow from my detractors!

It's a LEGEND, absolutely amazing. It you can't believe and need proof I'll happily send it. I would think it should be in a museum!

Wow, that's awesome! My 2004 had 230K-miles when I sold it. Current 2005 only has 170K-miles.

My ‘06 currently is at 120,000 miles and going strong. With COVID me and my wife really haven’t been driving much so mileage only slowly increasing. I changed jobs and now work from home. I’m planning on doing a major overhaul to make it go another 5 years hopefully.

To my disgust I did discover rust behind the driver front wheel. Chicago weather will do that.

Default 249k here

Bought my xb back in 2020 with 145,000 miles and currently sitting at about 249k miles. I believe the transmission was replaced at some point prior to me purchasing. It’s been a pretty reliable car. Just replaced the original alternator around Christmas time.
