Mud Guards
Has anyone here gotten the Mud Guards as an aftermarket accessory instead of through the dealer? I'd like to have them because I live in PA and we get all kinds of bad stuff dumped on the roads when it snows. I just think $108 is a little nuts for all they are. Has anyone gotten a set elsewhere, and if so, did you put them on yourself? Was it the "official" Scion set, or a generic set? Thanks!

Try this link,
http://www.scionpartspeople.com/Sear...desc=Mudguards Set of 2 is about 60 dollars. A couple of vendors said they could only go on the back or only on the front, I forget which. Anyway, take a look John A |
Cool...thanks. I can't imagine that there is much to putting them on. I would need to know about that whole "only on the front or only on the back" thing. That's kind of important. If they won't go on the front, they'd be pretty useless. Thanks for the link.

Agree! I wanted the mudguard so bad, but they only made for the rear only. My two front doors are so dirty when it rain. The back is always cool.

Does drilling require for the front mud guard installation? I like a set too but drilling onto the metal is bad idea.

That scionparts link is great. I just put in an order for a new xA. Was gonna get the dealer mats but it looks like I can save half my money if I wait and order from them.

More on mudguards
You might want to check out this post, apparently the front mudguards were installed by the dealer on this xA. So, for sure there are front mud guards, uh , somewhere!
