I was thinking either H techs or TRDs for a 1 inch drop. Here is mine on h techs to give you an idea.

Congrats on the new box.....Very clean ride and like all the others are saying....Drop that bad boy....LOL..

As far as springs go I'd recommend going with Eibach Sportlines for a 2" drop. Ride is great you will love it.

If you want to go lower I'd recommend Ksport Coilovers...... they have a great ride as well.

Here are a few pics of mine on both......I used to have the sportlines on my box until I switch to the Ksport Coilovers....

Box with Sportlines 2" Drop

Currently with Ksport Coilovers Dropped 3" here

Mooneyezs, I think you missed the part about him having a family to load into the box. A 2 inch drop would not be appropriate for his situation.

No I didn't miss the part about him having a family. I know of many families here in the phoenix valley that have had a 2" drop and they have been happy with how it rides with all of them in it and didn't have any issues. It really boils down to what he wants. I can understand if he only wants a 1" drop or 1-1/2" drop. Figure out the drop and then choose springs from there.

If I was to do it all over again. I would go straight with coilovers cause you have the ability to change the ride height on it to what you want. it casue hey I spend the money on springs and then spend money on the coilovers. but thats what Modding is all about do little here and there....

Thanks for the suggestions. The 2" drop looks amazing but it might be a little too low for me. 1-1/2" looks to be what I'm aiming for (and to please the wife ) I'm starting to lean towards the h-techs.

Thanks again guys. I'm glad I stumbled across scionlife.com. Seems to be a great group on here.

nice ride i think it looks good and if its your only car at the moment for you and your family i suggest you leave it alone and just stay on top of the maintenance & dont drop it !

just remeber when you drop any vechile your shrinking the travel in the suspension

soft drop lowering springs = like oem ride quality but more likely to bottom out
stiff drop lowering springs = less swaying when hiting the corners but its gonna be a rougher ride

just my 2 cents

You may even want to look into Eibach Pro Kit. I think they are a 1" to 1-1/2" drop not as drastic as the sportlines. I was really happy with Eibachs and I know everyone will have preferences on what springs to go with. Also take into consideration on how much you are wanting to spend on them as well. Tein is a good brand as well and am sure you'd be happy with the H-techs.

Default beastie

beastie boys are known to make the "box" mmmmmmmmmmm drop! Eibach sportlines, Tein S-Techs, or Tanabe df210's would look sick...
