Did install just new LED bulbs in the factory headlight housings or entire aftermarket headlight housings with LED light sources? What brand? Did you modify your factory wiring harness in any way?

There's your problem. I can't tell you how many problems we see at the dealership caused by cheap LED bulbs. Take them out and throw them away. Install a good set of halogen bulbs and I can almost guarantee that your problem will go away.

You mean a set of LEDs I got for the cost of a stamp with free shipping could be the issue? Say it' not so....how are you doing, Tom?

Default Something doesn't add up here...

Just because they are cheap LEDs doesn't answer the question. How are they getting power? If the switch is off how can they possibily be getting the power required to light up? Seemed to me that there has to be something else going on here.

Did you try putting the original bulbs back in to see what happens? That would be the first thing I would do or check to see if your high beams are on.

If you didn't do anything to the wiring when you changed bulbs then go back to the same way when it last worked correctly and see what happens.

If memory serves me correctly, the headlights on 1st gen xB's are "ground switched." That means you always have power to the bulb, but when the switch is off, you have no ground to complete the circuit. As for how that could lead to you having headlights with cheap LED bulbs on all the time, trust me, we've seen the absolute most bizarre problems with cheap aftermarket LED lighting. Pulling them out solves the problems 99.99% of the time. Do we take the time to determine why the cheap LEDs cause these problems? Only of somebody wants to spend $150 and hour to do so. So far, nobody has.

That said, try switching back to the halogen bulbs you pulled out and get back to us with the results.

I never would have thought of having the switch on the ground. ;) I wonder if we will get a response indicating what he found?
