Default Positive battery terminal replacement

Hey Everybody,
It's been a while, but I am hoping someone can help me out. The positive battery terminal corroded and broke (see photos). The nut remaining on the terminal still attached to the cable will not come off. It looks like my options are cutting the nut off or replacing the positive cable. It looks like the positive cable ties into a bigger harness, so I'm trying to avoid this. Anyone ever replaced the positive cable or have any input?

I just had the same problem and I can't find anyone that knows how to replace it without replacing the whole thing.

I actually ended up getting the nut to come loose. Only ended up having to replace the terminal after all.

I just went through the same thing. Took a while, but got the nut off and replaced the terminal. Guess we'll both be doing a better job of keeping that terminal clean!

I think I had the same thing happen to my car in Guam and I covered the terminal in baking soda and added a little water and Voila! clean terminal.
