Sure! With enough money you can make one fly too! How much money do you want to spend to do this?

guitarguru44 04-12-2007 11:53 PM

Yes you can.

How would you do it?? A lot of work and a lot of money. That's a completely custom job. You can't throw 26s on your stock box without MAJOR and EXPENSIVE modding...

bBlover 04-12-2007 11:56 PM

Technically its Bubble. (Unless there's a name for one after 2000) Box is like before 70 or something like that.

burstaneurysm 04-13-2007 12:43 AM

20's can be a real pain in the azz. I would really think twice about attempting that. Not only would you need to do some significant modification to make it fit, it would also ride like crap, and look pretty silly.

MrMcNuggett 04-13-2007 06:11 AM

It would look like the CHUB CITY toys, those things are funny lookin. The beetle is my favorite.

^to make a beetle look like similar to this would cost tens of thousands..

MrMcNuggett 04-13-2007 06:16 AM

Just givin him an idea of what he would look like rollin on some 26's.

snowromance 04-13-2007 06:37 AM

thats a little big man dont you think?

guitarguru44 04-13-2007 06:55 AM

i know and I'm just trying to give him a price, lol... I dont think people understand the work involved here... I mean you're talking about cutting the frame and moving stuff under the hood, obvious body work, the cost of the rims and tires, plus the stuff that cant be calculated such as the loss of a practical car, lower gas mileage, lower accel, worse handling, etc...

I mean I'm not saying it isnt possible, but I am saying its gonna cost you several g's. Plus you need to find a shop willing to take it on, and hopefully you have another car to drive for a week while they do it...

But come to think of it I guess you could somehow kick out the rims to oustide the the width of the car and custom a widebody, which would be pretty insane...

Any way you go about it I can't see this being cheaper than say $15,000...

JOE

MrMcNuggett 04-13-2007 04:56 PM

Also I don't think the xB motor would have enough power to run that size rim, it would need a bigger motor.

uuhm.. can the xb's motor even move 26"s? aside from the fact that anything over 19's are a waste.. thats my opinion though..

low_down_xb 04-13-2007 07:50 PM
