Default Post Pictures of Boxes with Boxes on TOP !

seriously I would love to see some pics of cargo boxes. I think I am going to pick up a space cadet but I can't find pictures of what it would look like.

I actually just bought a Space Cadet and have it on my box right now. I really like how it looks on my xB yet my husband isn't quite a fan of it. Of course the second I got my xB, he had me take off the Yakima rack, ASAP, because he's not into any of that type of stuff.

BBL with a picture. It's awfully early here and there are children to be escorted off to school yet.

And my previous post made little sense... My husband had me take off the rack on his xB to put on my xB.

Yakima SpaceCadet with stickers picked off (they're sorta tacky).

I moved my racks back from where they're supposed to be (12 inches from front windshield) because it looks goofy up there and the guy in REI said with all of his training classes on racks and boxes, he's never heard of having to have them in one place. On our trip to TN, I'll be putting the rack back up where it's supposed to go. There's got to be a reason they want it up there, right?

Please excuse the Diet Coke can in my driveway, lol.

I'm going on a long road trip (Va-Canada) Friday, I've got my bro-in-law's Cargo-X box (the one from Sears with a picture of a snail on it), and will put on Thursday. I'll post a pic then.

Thanks so much. That was exactly what I was looking for. I see what you mean about putting it further back. Does it really cut down on your gas mileage. I think I will also get mine from REI. I want to keep the rack on all the time but just use the cargo box for camping trips

LOL! Well, I wouldn't have noticed it, but now I can't stop looking at it! My xB is the exact same as yours, down to the wheel covers. I, too, have a Yakima rack. Thanks for showing what it would look like with a cargo box on top. I'll find out tomorrow what it looks like with a bike rack on top, since I'm going to pick it up tomorrow. I'd post pics if I had a camera. But I don't.

Is your mirror folded in, or is that an illusion?

I'm not sure about gas mileage yet. I let my husband fill up my tank and he didn't log anything for me, grr. I'm driving from WA to TN to WI back to WA and I'll have excellent millage to post for you all, lol.

Yes, my mirror could very well be folded in. I deliver newspapers and often forget to flip my mirror back out (don't want to accidently get too close to mailboxes and scratch).

I tried to crop out that Diet Coke can... ugh!

Oh, and I should mention this. I was going to get the Thule, larger, box but the front of it, no matter how far I slid the Yakima rack back, would of hung over the top yet not of gone all the way to the back. What I'm saying is that it would look like it was falling off the front of the car. I think all the larger boxes would do the same but I can't say for sure.

Thats exactly what I thought when I looked at the other boxes. I am taking a road trip to maine and I was concerned with some of the gear. I think I may use this exact set up. I will also post milleage when I get back.

Here is my box with a box. It's a white lowdown cruiser made by Inno Car Racks, I can fit a crap load of stuff in it and it's low design lets me still get in to the garage with no problem. I got more info on it if you need. Sorry late post, I just joined scion life last week.

I have the rack and the box that goes on top. It's very noisy to the people inside the car, but it doesn't look too bad.
