Recently purchased an 04 orange xB. On the dash board is a small plate that reads" xB Release Series 1.0 #1326 of 2100. Is this a plate that comes on every xB and what do the numbers mean?

 

it only comes in RS xBs. it means that your xB is an authentic limited edition RS

 

they only made 2100 of the hot lavas so yours is number 1326. the plate only comes in the release series cars.

 

2100 Hot Lava xBs were made in the Spring of '04. It was the first Release Series for the US. Since then, the xA has seen two Release Series models (Red and Blue), the xB saw one more (with the Solar Yellow), and the tC has seen one (Red).
Different amounts were made for each Release Series model.

The Hot Lava xBs were given these options as a standard package and had a $980 premium (quite a deal!) not including the limited bright color:
6 disc cd changer
Hotchkis strut bar painted Hot Lava
Billet front grill
Orange highlights in the seats
Dash badge showing number
Orange LEDs under dash/seats/cupholders with illumination button
Rear spoiler painted Hot Lava

About 82% of the RS1s made have automatic transmissions.

 

You are the 1st RS 1.0 xB owner that i have heard refer to their box as being ORANGE and not HOTLAVA.

 

Hehee...So how many % did the RS2.0xB come in Automatic... I feel like it's in a post somwehere...

which RS was it that the last 5 or 7 plate went missing and they had to re-issue plates that were over, for example #2501 of #2500?

I remember reading something about it. Was it the RS1 xA?

 

^^ It was the RS1 Hot Lava Orange. From what i gathered, a hand full of the plaques went missing from port. Some owners cought on from looking at this site. Scion was forced to make new plates. Because there is no rhyme or reason to the issuence of the plaques, they had to make some over the limit.

 

The last 10 RS 1.0 xA badges were misplaced and had to be numbered and lettered.
