replaced weak battery, now won't start - no click, nothing
hi!
so, my '04 xb manual , w/~212k on it shares use w/another xb and a fiat 500, as well as a few motorcycles. which means it sits a lot. plus i broke my foot, and nothing was getting any use for over a month. when i went to start the '04 a while back, it was dead. it took a charge, and started right up. but it went dead a week later, and i knew the battery was long overdue for a replacement. which i installed today. except now, i get nothing. new battery is good, all electronics, accessories, etc are working, and fuses are fine. when i turn the key, there isn't even a click. you can hear the injector pump, but that's it. wtf? what did i do? i simply pulled out the old battery and installed the new one. any help, experience w/something like this, etc, would be greatly appreciated thanks, doug s. |
Did you check the fuses? Clutch sensor? Lastly I'd see if the starter was good. Hope this helps.

Check your main ground wire too!

Do you have a battery tester? Harbor freight sells one for about $40. Easy to use. May have got a bad battery |
First, check the connections, fuses, and starter relays.
