The RS2 gets even better!
I promised that I would get her lowered. Well here are the results. It's still setting to it's final position. The springs are Tanabe DF210 and they give a 2" drop. Installation wasn't too bad and the springs will be complimented with the TRD Shocks and a Progress Rear Sway Bar in about a week!
Here is a before:

And now after the Tanabe Drop:

Let me know what you think!
Special thanks to my good buddy Nate for his help on the install.

Put that b!t@h on the pavement!
I SOOOOO....need to lower my RS. Looks like I'm trying to build a mud-bogger
. Please let me get more money for my engine and suspension mods (prays for raise
). Good job though. Diggin' those rims, and I just usually like the bigger sizes, but those are choice.
How is the ride? I plan on lowering my car but I feel that a 2" in the Northeast is asking for trouble. Have you bottomed out or scraped yet? I'm looking at Tanabe's the NF not DF or Tein H-Techs.
The ride is quite good, considering I'm pushing the OEM shocks and struts past their design limits. Hence the TRD's that are on the way. Larger bumps can be felt a bit more than on the stock suspension but it's not jaring or wearing and you will feel the connection to the road a bit more as the expansion joints and cracks can be felt just a bit. This all changes when you press on the gas pedal in the twisties though.
The car literally hugs the road. Steering is more responsive and well controlled. Overall the car feels so much better and once I finsih it with the TRD Shocks and Progress Rear Sway this thing will be insane!
I have traversed some steep driveways, and I also go over at least five speedbumps a day and have yet to bottom-out or scrape a single obstacle and thats with 500 pounds of passengers and cargo. I'm not too concerned with snow. If I have a problem with the front air-dam I will trim off the low hanging plastic pieces for better ground clearance. I will also be running studded snow tires in the winter months so traction will be pie.
I feel like I've just written a review for Road & Track.
