Default stripped header bolt...

hey guys so today i was going to install a header in my 06 and one of the bolts is now stripped pretty bad from me trying to take it off. before you guys say search how to take out a stripped bolt, i already did and there is no way the techniques i found would work in this case due to the lack of room where the bolt is. its the top middle one connecting it to the block... so my question is HOW DO I GET THIS BOLT OUT

again, i researched all the option but if you realize how much room there is back there, none of those techniques would work.

Its been a while since Ive been working on my header, so forgive my retardedness...

how about some vice grips, can you get them on it?

Dremel to cut into the bolt and then a screwdriver to get it off?

Um...

From a focus forum...

go to sears, and they sell a stripped bolt removal kit with like a reverse threaded type thing in a socket. from what i hear they work very well, but i dont know cause i have never used them before.

^^thats exactly what i was thinking when reading the first post, you can actually get these from walmart too, but i would check out sears and get the craftsman version it might be better quality than stanley...

ive used these before and they do work, to give you more room you might want to take off the plastic piece under the wipers, that should give you about 3+ more inches to work with.

get a die grinder...and grind the head of the bolt off

use a vice grips on what is left after you get the exhaust manifold off

a dremel will work too..but it's going to take you some time

MadMike, I wouldnt suggest going that far just yet. Only if the head of the bolt breaks off would I suggest that, because then ya gotta drill the bolt out!
