Hey everyone....dave here...waitin to get an 06 PW 5spd xa...takin forever tho...how long did it take neone else to get an 06?...im a little nervous about buyin this car...im takin like a 66% power loss from my eclipse haha and am afraid of bein unhappy with it...nething i should know that these cars are prone to before i start rippin it apart?...basically just wanted to say hi..peace

 

Well, I test drove my '06 IIP xA one day, bought it the next day. It was the only one on the lot at the time though.

 

I went and looked at my 05 one day and the wife went back the next day and bought it for me for my b'day, test drive was taking her home after she brought the car to my work place as a surprise, lol. Love it.

 

I took 3 weeks to get my xB, so I would guess your time frame would be about the same. As for power loss, it all goes on how you drive. I went from a 151hp Focus ST down to my xB & cant be more happy (The power in the focus was nothing great, but it did make me drive like a d!#$.) If you are going to have a 66% reduction in power, I take it you have a GST, GSX or V6 GT/GTS right now? Even so, those cars weigh in at about 3270+. So you are dropping almost 1000lbs of weight. The power to weight is still a big hit, but again its all on how you drive. If your a redline every gear all day long, then yes the power will be no where near what your use to.

 

yea i had a 00 ripp'd 6g72...the power loss is gonna suck but dsms are so sensitive and almost never run right..im am goin with the xa to save on gas, insurance, and time/money spent makin the 3g run right

 

My RS2 xA took about 4.5 weeks to come in. But it was worth every day.
