Default Wow my commute got shorter since I got the CamoBox!

Seriously though my drive to work has always been over 15 miles, with the CamoBox it's under 15 miles so I borrowed my father's GPS.

I found that over several hundered miles and several days my odometer reads .9681 of actual. Odometer reading of 100 miles = 103.3 actual miles traveled.

The speedometer seems to read about 1 mph high which is kinda nice but opposite of the odometer.

Anyone else checked their numbers? are they similar?

I saw in a fill-up thread that they were off but a search on odometer didn't get me anywhere.

haven't checked my odometer, but the police radar stand in the construction area showed 60mph, speedo 57mph.

I'm on stock wheels/tire.

I wouldn't trust the construction area radar stand, it has an agenda.

well, either way, it is only a 3mph difference... guess there shouldnt be that much concern about it...

I find a 3% difference using a couple different GPS. That means at 70 on the speedometer, I am going 68ish.

Stock tires here.

I once checked my odometer against the mile markers on the NJ Turnpike, and found it reads around 4.5% low. Stock tires on stock steel wheels. Of course a low odometer is good for us as owners. But it does make your fuel mileage appear lower than it really is.

Yes, over many long road trips I find my odo off about 4 miles per hundred, low side. The speedo is also about 1 mph higher than actual, as best I have been able to read with a stopwatch. I never trust the police roadside radars. Look what they did to "The Rookie" (joke)

I've done the GPS thing on mine also. I have found the odometer to read slow just like the rest of you. About 4 miles less in 100. And that was on a very straight section of I-5 through N.Ca. so I doubt the GPS was too off. Stock wheels.

I calculated it to be about 4.3% off, but that is about 1.5 mpg at 35mpg, so it is actually 36.5.
