Default Was it wrong to contact Scion Customer Service? Update 7/06

So here it is three weeks later and still my car hasn't been touched..."Still waiting on parts" so I called Scion Corporate...not so much to complain about the dealership...but just to find out why it was taking so long to get parts for the darn thing...and I've said don't worry right now about getting the painted parts replaced now...I just want the thing driveable...they took down every bit of information they could about the accident and said they would contact the dealer and get back to me within two business days...was this wrong?

I have had a reason to call them every day since I owned my car. Just got a new motor, went in the shop Wednesday cause it was really hard to start they cleared the ecu code and said it was fine. Went to start it this morning and it wouldnt start cranks over but wont start. Im waiting for a tow truck right now. Good thing the dealer is atleast paying for that. A few more days and I get to lemon law it so I dont mind.

I think it was a great thing you called customer service. They can light a fire under the dealerships butt and get them moving... keep us posted!

No way was it wrong. I called CS about that front engine noise. I haven't called them back and told them what the dealership did to eliminate the issue. I'll call em eventually after the fact that the service people did not want to fix the warm A/C issue. It's a simple task. I dont have a PDF of the TSB.

Ahem, Russel Toyota/Scion service rocks :D Not sure what's really going on with Antwerpen, they used to be good. :?

I also agree with everyone in saying that you should have contact them. Three weeks is just not acceptable specially if you dealer has BS you this past weeks!

Customer Service will definitely take care of you!

I just got off the phone with someone at antwerpen and they said they are waiting for a strut and they said the date it would be in would be May 28th...which would be two months from when I originally bought the car...and my total time with the car is 4 days...

What the hell is that? Call up scion corporate; dealers shouldn't be able to jerk you around like that. It's time the novel concept of "customer service" came to car dealerships everywhere!

Update...

Well apparently the squeaky wheel gets the grease....so after my call to Scion Corp. I get a call from customer relations person at my dealership letting me know they were waiting on one part which was backorderd til the 28th...well after hearing this I give a call to Rudy in the Parts Dept at Champion Scion in Austin, TX....he didn't have it but was nice enough to check in a database(my question is do all parts departments have this capability?) and found a dealership in NJ that had it...it was a "takeoff".....well by this time it is now Saturday morning...well no one was around that could make any decision so I leave my name and try to have my advisor call me...Monday rolls around still nothing several calls go unanswered...so I call Aaron back at Corp. which is noon my time...he was out researching my delay...so he calls me back at around 2 and I let him know that the dealership in NJ has this part...well finally with that news things start moving again...at around 4:45 today I get a call from the Consumer Relations Maanger at my Dealership to let me know that my part is being shipped from NJ and I should have my Lava back by this weekend!!!!!

WOOOOOOOHOOO!
:D :D :D :D :D :D

I am very happy that everything is working out for you.

I have been very fortunate that my whole Scion experience has been great and haven't had any reason to contact Scion Customer service but from everything I have heard they are great bunch of guys!

Keep us posted with all the details....and to answer your original question....NOOO it was not a mistake.

Antwerpen are A-Holes in my opinion, just worried about selling the vehicles and forget about the service !
