Default xB Maintenance 95k miles

Hello all, I know this is my first post and I did some searching but some of the posts are so old that they dont even help.

I have an 06 xB with about 95k miles and I bought it with about 80k. So far I've changed the oil, spark plugs (ngk platnium) and serviced the front brakes and rear drums. Of course my car did NOT come with an owners manual so I do not know what the scheduled maintenance is.

Now i'm more fearful of belts (timing, serpentine), thermostats, waterpumps, fuel filter etc.. what are some preventive and scheduled maintenance items you have replaced so far. Any input would be appreciated

thanks!

I'm passed you in miles and needed a waterpump.

I'm going to do belts soon, they only make a brief noise on freezing cold startups.

You can google Scion service schedule and get some answers from different dealers, etc.

Drive belt at 90k. Waterpump only if it's leaking. Do a brake flush and trans flush (drain and fill front diff if manual trans). Coolant should be changed at 120k.

That's all I would recommend if I worked on it.

The engine has a maintenance-free timing chain:
https://www.scionlife.com/tech/manual/?manual=xb04_1040
That is taken from the online repair manual here:
https://www.scionlife.com/tech/manual/?manual=xb04_0001
There is no toothed serpentine belt.
The drive belts for the accessories are plain V type in simple loops.

My belts whine alittle when its cold outside and when I accelerate as well, but once the engine is properly warmed up its fine. I think I'm going to replace my thermostat though, I dont want my car to overheat if it gets stuck.

Thank you guys for your replies, they were very helpful!

I just posted a thread in the suspension section, but change your rear shock bushings(just did mine at 95k and it made a noticeable difference in ride quality and only costs $16 and 5min).

Also clean your MAF sensor. Mine didn't even look that dirty, but engine response, drive-ability, idle, all improved after a cleaning.
