Default xB and my driving...

Okay... I'm 25 years old, not a racer dude by far... I got my xB in January and I broke 1,400 miles on it today...

The xB is an awesome car. I noticed then when you are "rolling" - at any speed and not giving any gas - the car feels like it's 'gliding' - it feels like it is rolling without any force or air holding it back... the effect is like you're going faster than you are...

regardless, back to my point - my car before the xB (which I still have in my driveway) was the hummer h2. going from driving the h2 so slowly and taking turns at like 10mph, i am now driving more aggressively because the xB can handle it. im not breaking laws or anything like that, but definitely spirited driving... what a fun car for such an awesome price...

just a quick msg to say that im enjoying the xB with a huge smile on my face everytime...

I think... needless to say - i think im going to put my hummer on ebay this week...

Great to hear. I still enjoy taking turns far faster than needed.

I am definitely not a racer, but being able to move around town like that is nice. My truck buddies always comment that they like the handling.

A former coworker of mine had an H2. Worthless is the only word that comes to mind when describing it.

During my xB's second month I had a Progressive Tech add-on swaybar installed. It will definitely improve the handling and safety of your xB without destroying the ride quality. It helps to control "tail wag" and neutralizes a lot of the understeer. If you want a little more performance and a lot more secure feel be sure and get one.

Not affiliated with anybody--I just really think this add-on is all you need for normal to "sporty" driving.

Yup. The xB is actually quite fun to toss into corners.

I tend to drive within the speed limits (OK, OK, pretty close, at least), but I also tend to be aggressive
on corners because a car shaped like a box isn't expected by most to be anywhere near as good at it as the xB is. :D

An oddly nimble little box.

Not to diss it at all, but when I drive it, I feel like I'm driving a go-kart - compared to when I drive my h2. The xB, as Tomas said, is really really nimble and it's shocking to feel how great it handles. I have put over 300 miles just zipping around new york city (manhattan, queens, long island) and I am having a really fun time. best part is - with my laptop attached to the aux audio input on the xB, i'm having fun scrolling through 2,000 songs at my fingertips!

I am able to go into lanes I would only stop at if I were in the h2. I can go driving heavily for 2 days without refilling the xB. I thought bumps were going to be a huge problem in the xB but they haven't really been a problem at all - the only thing I am noticing is that I am slowing down INSANELY (from like 50 to 15-20mph) when I sees a huge bump ahead i can't get by....

Enough praise - although I do owe it more... =] This car rocks and everyone I know really likes it too.

I also got rid of my H2 in favor of the xB and am sooo happy I did. I love the way the xB handles and the gas mileage difference is incredible.

Ditto on the handling. This box surprises me all the time. I used to race in SCCA and IMSA and when I first started racing I raced "momentum cars", which are basically underpowered, but great handling race cars. The box reminds me exactly of these types of cars wherein if you maintain the momentum you can zip through corners and pass other "poorer handling" cars with ease. The road is filled with "poorer handling" cars, SUVs, Vans, Trucks, etc. I just love this Box.

Still feel the same way after 2 years with the box. Funny you mentioned a go-kart... Thats how I describe the ride to others. It's my mini limo that handles like a go-kart.

Try adding Toyo tires, a Supercharger, S-tech springs, front and rear sway bars,
strut brace, and lower frame brace. Now it take all of my self control to behave. It
doesn't alway help and I find myself whipping around corners like I'm on fire and being
chased by ninja's who are also on fire. To much fun.

I love how I can squueze that little box in NYC parking garages and squueze in between cars and lanes to get ahead!

Also out by me I have a few county roads with lots of great twisties. I usually take them pretty agressively just for kicks. Otherwise I drive within the speed limt.

Definitely modding time but there are a sh!tload of jealous people in queens and it's disgusting what they do to cars left alone...

I've had someone pour a bottle of urine (yeah, you heard right) all over my h2, my xB has a dent in the fender right now from someone hitting it, my h2 has been broken into and the people took NOTHING!!!!!

A$$holes like this are all over queens and this is the reason why i don't go modding nuts... i want rims, a fixed/indash carputer and a crapload of other things but the above reasons make me not want those...

I actually caught someone ____ing on my xB when I went to go pick it up at around 3am, saturday night. it turns out the person ____ing on it is a resident of the house where im renting the driveway!!!

so when i find a new spot to park ol' boxy, im going to go into this dudes house and ____ on the staircase or wall - whichever seems good at the time - to get back at them. NO ONE DISSES ME OR MY SUCCESS LIKE THAT!!!!

as puffy says, jealousy is a mother facker!
- sh00k

ps - yes, disgusting but all of the above is true!
