2012 Scion xB Headlights

I was wondering if 2010 headlights would fit on my 2012 xB. They look almost the same except for one of the front marker lights isn't there on the 2010. I wanted to buy some blackout headlights from eBay for cheap.

Pretty sure the answer is no. The headlight have a slightly different shape to them on the Gen 2.5 update.

Easiest thing to do if you want to black out the headlight would be to bake them open and spray the interior chrome parts black. It's actually not hard to do. You need to remove the bumper cover to access all the headlight bolts, pull the headlight, remove all bulbs, soft rubber parts,
and screws. Once this is done you put them in the oven at 220* for 7 minutes, this will soften the sealant up enough that you can now pry them apart with a large flat head screwdriver. Once you have them apart undo the few screws that hold the chrome section in place and remove it.
Tape off the side reflector and paint the color of your choice. You can go for a full black out, translucent black is you want a black chrome look, color match them to the car color, or even pick a contrasting color. Once everything is dry you put it back together in the reverse of taking
them apart, baking for 7 minutes again before putting the two outer halves together.
