Default 3000K fogs w/ parking lights mod, LED vents, orange/red puddle LED's

Well, even though I'm an old guy, I still like my toys. I got the 3000K HID factory fogs and 5000K low beams from DDM (sale!) I also did the fogs on with parking light mod. I added white LED's in the front vents and amber in the grill too while disabling the park light in the blinker spot.

The puddle lights are from superbrightleds and are orange 4 superflux LED's extended to 14" apart (otherwise it'll be way to bright, I think they are too bright now) and the rear puddle lights are only 2 led clusters.

I have the side puddle lights on a 12V regulator for protection and I'm thinking im going to put them on an 8V regulator to dim them down some... They are pretty freaking bright.

Its a little much I know, not sure how I like the puddle lights yet... but the 3000K fogs are going to die with the car...

If you liked the 30k fogs i would have gone with a yellow for your puddle lights. It would blend better and not be too many colors to focus on IMO.
Other then that it does look good.

Had to redo them, they were a little "loud" for my taste. I like the subtle look a lot better and this color matches the factory parking light in the headlight perfectly.

Looks nice, clean install. I do have one suggestion, and it's not about your install. Instead of taking your pictures at night, try it just after the sun sets (twilight). You'll get enough light to show the car, yet dark enough to have the lights pop. What's happening now is the camera is sensing the light from your lights and adjusting the exposure accordingly. Result is well exposed lights, dark car. If you expose for the car, then your lights wash out. Early twilight lets you have good light for the car, yet be dark enough so the lights show bright. Almost all of the car ads you see take those shots during twilight or early dawn. It's called Golden Light or Magic light.

I know, these for just for quick shots. I can't get twilight shots as I don't do car mods while my daughter is still up, so by the time she goes to bed, its 8:30 or later and here in WI, its pitch black at that time now. I have a D5100 that I will take better picts with someday, but for now, its just for the gist of it.. and I got a couple other mods that I need to finish before we get all professional with the photos! LOL, thanks though!

I'm keeping this one mild for LED mods unlike the tC. When I think of the time wasted LED modding that car... OMG... kids change perspectives.. nothing too fancy planned, CF and some laminex... LOL

I'm planning on doing some LED mods myself: better light coverage for the rear (Scion, what is up with the one reverse light thing?), better interior lights (especially shining on the drink holders and the window controls). Another is better lighting for the cargo area. A brighter light for the dome is okay, but still shadowy. Thinking of getting two Ikea Janso lights and putting them in the side cubbies.

And I'm glad to see that someone besides me gets stuff from Superbright: very much DIY and custom!

This is the first time I actually did something premade, I usually build my own but these are sealed in epoxy so should be able to be submerged, (taking water direct from the wheels) otherwise I like to build them myself.. but the cost has come way down on sign modules and daym they are bright (not my yellow one) but the 4 led clusters are.

I tried to resist the urge to LED mod, but it has beaten me.. I too added LED's to the interior, orange ones to match the dash. It was wayyyyy to dark in there...

This was when I had A LOT of free time IE: no kid,s..... I went a little overboard on the tC, but I had fun doing it.. LOL

UPDATE:

Better camera, and amber rock blocker gone and 20% tint on the fogs instead, along with CF vinyl on the lower center lip. Love the blacked out look.

I'm looking at the first pic and seeing all the different color lights you have on your house! The dude approves! Like the CF vinyl, just enough to give the front some accent. What white LEDs and voltage driver did you use for the front vents ?

Thanks man, the vents are 100ma 5mm superflux led's wired up to an 8V regulator, I don't do drivers, just an 8V regulator and they are wired in 2 in series with an 18 ohm resistor (if I remember right) which was around 80ma for longevity, and the brightness difference wasn't worth the possible early death. LOL.

As for my Halloween stuff, here was when I had my tC...

magyver - In the first set of pics on this thread, i see you have two white reverse lights under the car and another strip up in/near the third brake light. I'm interested in know more about those mods and how you did them. Also maybe a pic or two of the LEDs in the light so I can get an idea for mounting? I hate how little I can see in reverse even with the high-powered replacement light in my stock housing. Thanks man!

No problem, they are the same LED's that I used in my vent lights. They are 100ma white superflux (square LED's) run on an 8V regulator (to keep them the same brightness). I mounted them into some white lexan I had laying around from other projects.. The circuits are open for the lower ones, but they have 15 coats of clear coat to protect the them from rusting... so far, its working great. The lights in the TBL, are the same ones, just spaced evenly in the housing. As for how to wire them, I use series parallel and an 8V regulator...

Here are some pictures of what I got..
