Love the Runion rear bumper

2 Attachment(s)
OK guys this is another mod I would like to do and that is to get the Runion rear bumper and the lower kit and the rocker panels.
I read a article how to do it because the hardware is different on the Runion compare to the xB.
I think the person was from Hawaii and he and Marchall was explaining what to do with the conversion.
Any leads would be appreciated, I really want to go with this look.

The lower lights would become reverse lights because I'm running this as tail lights.8)

I got this one and I know I read about it, and I can't find it?

Thanks for taking your time to help me out, that's the tread I remembered.
I start to feel like I'm a pain in the A** but that's not my intention believe me.
Now I have to work on how to get the stuff from Japan and maybe it helps to have my girlfriend to be from there?
Got to work on my connections!
This project is for me and not to flaunt my gig, its only to make myself happy.

Definitely, bro! I love the Rumion rear, but I don't want to sacrifice the crash bar.

I'm right there with you, Nesta. The first thing I did to my "B" was swap out the rear bumper and tail-lights to the Rumion. Wiring the lights is simple. I sourced both the lights and the rear bumper from "jzsinternational.com". It took about a month for me to get the parts directly from Japan. Good luck

Not having a crash bar is a bummer, but how did you get around it?
I would need your help in this venture guys.

Last question on this subject is the crash bar not mandatory in Japan, if so what do they use?

I don't think it's necessary in Japan. I could be wrong, though. You may be able to use your stock crash bar, but cut the brackets down.

Did you get my pm?

Nesta 08-20-2011 02:15 AM

I sure did and thanks for helping me out.

Not a problem! Not much I can't find.

udanijo 08-20-2011 05:08 AM

I didn't feel comfortable not having the crash bar either. The brackets and the bolts for the crash bar have to be modified to fit under the Rumion bumper. If you want to use your existing tail-lights, your going to have to modify the Rumion bumper where they meet since the Rumion tails are a bit shorter. The crash bar is not even a standard part in Japan for the Rumion. All they have is another support bracket for the top-center of the bumper!

I want that exhaust!!! Any info?!

I've been searching for a spot that sells the rumion rear bumper and tail lights, how much did you end up spending?
I couldn't find the rear bumper on their website though, and it seems that the tail lights are out of stock. :frown:

rhythmkid31,
I contacted a representative from JZSInternational and they got a hold of the bumper for directly from a Toyota Japan parts department. They were really helpful. They'll even send you the bumper painted as long as it's not Blackberry Crush Metallic. I remember spending around $800-$900 for tail-lights, bumper, shipping and import broker fee

rhythmkid31 09-07-2011 10:40 PM

o cool cool i was thinking it would cost way more. but damn i'm scared about deleting that rear bumper support. don't wanna cause any issues with insurance, but idk i still might do it. debating....

dEEYOUNEE1 09-07-2011 10:47 PM

damn $900 isn't bad for all those pieces, I would definitely consider that when upgrading calls. Don't want to lose my rebar though.. HMMM

udanijo 09-08-2011 11:38 PM

I had the same dilemma when it came to the bumper but it's good to have friends who have friends with cool tools. Once you look at the crash bar/support, it's not too difficult to cut/shorten the mounting area for the bar. The price I gave was given to me back in 2009 so the price might be different now thanks to shipping and broker fees always changing
