I went and got some of these too. I like them. I've seen the real Rumion ones in action and those probably ventilate better. These AVS ones do help a bit with the wind in the cabin. I like the sleek look too. They're really subtle on the BSP.

They're pretty close to the window.

Looks good. It took me a minute to figure out that all that goofy looking stuff against the window glass & doors was actually just reflections from inside your garage.

I also appreciate the shot through the interior to the outside that shows how far they drop down over the top edge of the windows. My primary consideration was how much they would help shade the sun coming in through the top edge of the windows since the short front visors don't block any sunlight from my peripheral vision when turned against the side windows.

I just ordered a set.

Thanks Hannibal & rockthebeef.

Thanks. Those reflections were a pain. I was too lazy to run upstairs and get my polarizing filter (and too lazy to move all that junk!). That may have helped a little bit. I'll try to get a good side shot when I get a chance.

I think the extra shade on the front side windows actually will help when the sun visors are too short. I only experience that when driving up the coast though, so I can't say for sure until I drive in the right conditions.

Hey guys, just to let you know, I put a set of these on my Box a few weeks back, and had no serious problems with them, however there are a few things to note. 1. in order for these to actually block out rain, the windows can only be down about 1/4 of an inch. Anything more and the water swoops right in. 2. With multiple windows not all the way down, it will create a deafening low hum noise that will hurt your hears. It's very uncomfortable to hear. It must be the way the air rushes in but can't quite rush back out.
I think for the way these look, it's worth it, as I have a Black Box and the gloss on the vents matches the gloss of the box. Hope this helps anybody out that's on the fence about these.

I have noticed that they are not the best at keeping the rain out. I have not experienced the hum when the windows were not all the way down... did you have them all at different heights or were all of you windows at the same height? When I got mine I tried them at numerous positions on the highway and didn't have any kind of hum, the visors actually made it quieter than before. Much like you, I pretty much bought them for the looks anyway.

I will agree that with the windows down it def is quieter for sure. And as far as how I got the noise, I had the drivers window down about 2" below the visor, and the rear passenger window down about the same, all other windows up. It consistently happened to me traveling along the thruway here in nys, so my speed was around 75-80. It's def. something you would notice, as it hurts the ears pretty bad.

Was the noise and cabin turbulence minimized if you rolled each window down 1/4"? Or will you still need to lower all the windows down in order to enjoy the fresh air at higher speeds?

pyroman, I only had problems with the cabin turbulence with the drivers and rear passengers windows down about 2" below the visors. As far as having the windows down 1/4", i've never had a problem with the windows down that little. You still get fresh air coming in even if the windows are down a little bit, and the noise is very negligable if at all. Matter of fact it's been way too hot here in central ny and i forgot i'd vented my windows while the car sat at work, so when i got in it to go and had the a/c on i couldn't figure out where the air was coming in till i turned the radio down and could just barely hear the air rushing in from the outside.

Well, the aesthetics mean a lot to me. I have a set ordered and on the way.

I found them on eBay. I purchased floor mats from this seller and had a good experience.

The price for these was about $94 shipped. Vent visors are typically around the 70ish range depending on the type you go with, but I heard the Speed Element ones didn't fit properly. They did a good job at ventilating and all that, but some people on ScionLife complained about the fitment not being exact.

That's why I went for these. It's much more aesthetic and low profile. Will look great on the box.

Has anyone seen the seamless for an '05 model? I can't seem to find them anywhere. The ones I have now are craptastic looking and I'd like to get some sleek looking ones if I can!

AVS made In-channel vent visors, but not "Seamless" for the 2005 xB.
Maybe you have a different brand.
