I am looking into how to take the door handles off. I want to paint them but dont know how to get them off. Any help would be appreciated.

i have already have removed my door handles front and rear. for the front they are real easy. if you open the doorand look where the latch is. there should be a plastic plug. removethat and there is a torx bolt. it basicly holds everthing together once you remove it. the part where your key would go will come off, then all you have to do is slide handle toward back of car and it will pop off. this goes for the front passanger. the rear handles are a bit more complicated. you will need to remove the inner door panel to get to the bolts for the rear handles. on the rear handles you will have to unbolt the latch. for the front handles you will be able to open the doors there is a little black tab that youy will see once the handle is removed. the rear is a bit more complicated to open youwill be able too. if you have any problems with them i'llget back to to asap
