I have a 2010 scion xb and have read about folks throwing a kayak on top to transport em. Anyhow I was wonder if you could do the same with a 10-12ft jon boat? Anyone ever done this and do ya think it is doable? They don't weigh any more the 135lbs and lower and it would just be the wife and I actually in the car. So any feedback and advice would be greatly appreciated. I don't have a roof rack now, what should I get and are they spaced out enough to safely secure a boat on top? Would ya just use ratchet straps to tie down to the rack itself or are there places on the car itself to help secure it? Thanks in advance.
