Default Roof Rack Permanent-mount Tracks

I think I'm looking for a permanent-mount roof rack system.

My Google-fu has led me to a very clean looking Yakima naked-roof-mount
http://www.newscionxb.com/138-exteri...-thread-7.html

and, Hallelujah!, a Thule track-mount system that's giving me a bloomin' stiffy a because it's front-to-back adjustable AND READILY REMOVEABLE

Anybody here have any actual experience with this Thule?
Am I just missing the same from Yakima?
And, for all of you with the removeable clamp types, is there any significant advantage in features, function or quality between Yakima's WhysBar vs Thule's AeroBar, other than personal preference and available pricing (not looking to start any die-hard Chevy vs Ford wars...)?
I'll be looking to run upright bike racks or a basket.

I just ordered the Yakima brand roof rack track. It was around $100 off eBay.
Got the 60" length and can't wait till I get the rest of my stuff

I'm running the Thule roof rack system, i love it. Its easy to take off use, and looks a lot better on the xB than the yakima because i feel like it flows with the body lines. i have pics on my thread you can take a look at.

Most (if not all) baskets are fairly universal in that you just need a round or square bar to clamp them to.

I never thought about the roof racks for our car until I recently decided to get a basket up top to carry more on long trips. Dissappointed we don't have permanent mounts and have to use the clamp style towers.

I just used the Q towers from Yakima vice the "channel" system. This system is pretty easy to take on and off and looks pretty good too.

OK folks, I'm back focussing on my xB after some significant life-distractions and am looking for options for bikes, a touring basket, and now kayaks.
PLEASE, ideally per the thread title, I'm looking for REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE with PERMANENT TRACK systems. And pics, like cash, is absolute king. Otherwise, tell me why one brand's accessories are superior (not just because you own it); quieter, more options, etc.

And scottzj, I noticed your NSA Mid-South sticker then location: we is close neighbors. I'm that BOH SCM xB running 240/40 during pm rush hour. PM me, my local xB brother.

I have not been active on the forum much but I am back in another xB, and I just purchased my yakima tracks...didn't like what the q towers did to my last xB. I will be installing as soon as I can get a free day and I will have some real feedback to give you.

I've got an 08. No permanent tracks installed. What's the ballpark on a professional installing permanent tracks?
