I ended up breaking my VMS antenna at a self service car wash...so I moved to a Shark Fin. Signal quality took a blow. I need to figure a way to improve it.

 

I think I am in trouble b/c antenna broke off at base. Nothing to screw the shark fin in to.
Any fixes other than replacing the whole darn antenna unit thing all the way to dash wiring?

Sorry to rehash an old topic I’m wondering. I’m looking to make some changes to my own xb and the shark fin has caught my attention. My color is Crimson Mica i thought but I don’t see that color on the shark fin website more do i see carbon fiber which would be my next go to color as i am thinking about putting a carbon fiber spoiler and wrapping the hood in a carbon fiber wrap. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
