If you want OEM, talk to TRDSparks (Myrtle Beach) or Carson Toyota (Kali); both good folk to deal with. They regularly sell TRD parts at 25% off MSRP ($269 discounted and OEM PAINTED) and, with Black Friday coming on, I bet you can do better.

OEM install requires 4 holes per a template, that you need to buy ~$12 or get from another forum member. Even if you have to wobble the holes a little, silicon will seal and you'll never see it. I can scan instructions for you at work on Monday and forward. PM me if you care to.
Search this forum and you'll see install pics too.

This write up is great, I'd feel really comfortable installing one just following it.

ebay spoilers seem just as good as direct oem, the only thing is getting kit with the template

I had the AIT ducktail spoiler and loved it. Its flush with the body, so rain didn't really drip down the rear glass. helped with visibility

Yes, that's a spot-on coverage of the DIY OEM install.

I found that the OEM spoiler's inside cut-out airfoil keeps my rear glass cleaner of the dirt wash that blew up out of my (wider shod) wheel wells and previously wrapped around the rear.

Yeah the oem spoiler is great, it really makes the body lines of the xB.

I had one on mine since I bought it, I only replaced it because I broke it, and figured I'd try something different

Also, I just noticed the template was posted on the last page of that DIY I posted. It's on the scikotics website so you have to be a member though

GDubya is correct, The cheap aftermarket spoilers are painted with garbage paint and look like ____ after so long. Dont go cheap. I also got mine from TRD sparks. They are painted with good PPG paint and 3 coats of clear. They will last longer and the mounting points are a lot stronger than the cheap crap. I've had the one from eBay and used the above install DIY for it and has been looking great ever since. Think its been about 3 years now... still on there and looking shiny.

yeah the "oem or go home" is sheer nonsense, the strength of the mounting points and the spoiler itself is the same. I've seen countless ebay spoilers hold up for as long as the paint on the body holds up, mine included.
There's a lot of crap on eBay, but just because it comes from eBay doesn't make it crap. If you can save money on a mod, do it! why pay more when you don't have to

It really makes the body lines of the xb2, its really big and aggressive. Pretty badass.

And the mounting pointing are same as oem, so just follow the template, easy enough.

is it hard to remove them? I have one that came with a used Xb that looks like a 10 year old spraypainted it.

I paid cash for my car so I didn't want to load it up with accessories at purchase. The first upgrade I got was the spoiler. To me, it's the biggest bang for the buck, and it restores the boxy shape to the rear of the vehicle. I got mine from the dealer. You can order it online, then they call you to schedule the installation. It was $423 installed (tax included)
