Default 08 xB Slop in gear shift M/T

Just purchased 08 xB 5 speed, 87K miles. Lots of play in the stick shift and I can feel a bit of vibration while in 5th gear if you rest your hand on the stick (not super bad, just a bit if you push the stick up tad before a down shift)... Would a bushing kit fix this or should I look deeper in the housing. It goes through the gears just fine, not missing shifts, just crazy sloppy. I would def like to tighten things up in there. I could possibly be convinced to upgrade to a quick shift if need be.

Next on the list is to give her a quick tune up and see if I can milk a bit more MPG's, but for now, I'd like to address this sloppy shifting. Thanks.

someone use to sell a shift bushing kit for the gen2 xb, but they already stopped making them...it basically replaced the rubber bushings at the end of the shift cables at the tranny with metal bushings......if you can find a shift bushing kit for these cars, please post up the links, cause i'd like to take some of the shift slop out of my 2014 as well...

I found this link to some parts on another Scion forum, which has less action on it that this one. Im not sure if the parts will work on a 2014, but im thinking about ordering the 33530F part and possible a TRD short shift kit if the 33530F part doesnt tighten things up a bit...

I just got some off ebay that are awesome. They are aluminum bushings. Made my shifter way tighter

I've been having the same issue with my '09 xB with 116k miles, that I recently bought. I just ordered some metal bushings off of ebay from New York Professional Product Development, and can't wait to put them on! TWM performance and torque solution also make bushings for the 2nd gen xB. All three options are available on ebay.
