2008 Scion xB broke down..
The serpentine belt broke when driving down the highway. I put a new one one. Car want start up. The camshaft is spinning , but nothin!!
I hooked my computer device to it. And here are the codes it gave me. Inspect all sensors in or around the belt path. Look for visual damage to wire harnesses and or sensors themselves. Before disconnecting/reconnecting anything electrical, you might want to disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait 90 seconds.
A bad camshaft position sensor and or bad crankshaft position sensor can create a no spark condition. I don't know if the same applies to your coolant temp and knock sensors. |

I just preemptively changed the belt on my xB. It's 10 years old with only 52K miles on the clock. The belt looked good, but I thought it was time.
I wonder what are the age and miles on the OP's car? I also changed the coolant and the larger hoses just for safety. __________________ |
