No one talks about the flywheel being engaged to the engine because that is already utterly obvious.

Edit: Personally I would call it installed, because in order for to be disengaged it has to be un-installed.
That's your personal take, one doesn't engage a flywheel, one engages the clutch, or you could say one engages the transaxle where the clutch is assumed, or the same with the drive train, but one never engages the flywheel, it's always engaged (the nature of its engagement doesn't change between idle and delivering power)

Agreed, in order to be disengaged, the flywheel has to be un-installed, meaning that it is otherwise always engaged.

How about this: Once my xb is on the road again (waiting on a rear trans mount), I can give a quick review and video of how it acts with a lightweight flywheel/nst pulley. Everyone can watch and compare with their oem flywheel response.
