Default Motor Mount

I have been reading through all the posts up here. I going to put a front motor mount on, just wondering about the install. Do you need to lift/support the motor to change it? One post said no but did not go into detail if it just comes right out or what.

No lift needed. Two bolts from bottom of car and one through bushing.

So do i just slide the mount out? Is most of the weight towards the back of the car. I though i would have to put a jack under the engine or something like that.

Engine will be held by the other three mounts and the mount comes out with a lil wiggle. I just did mine about a month ago.

Where did you get this? ScionLife vendor? I'm actually interested in picking one up to replace my Weapon-R torque dampener.

I am not sure if a vender still has them. GGP i think no longer makes them, i did not see them on the website. I bought the torque solution motor mount. Not sure about venders, i got it from amazon. AWD motorsports has them on amazon, i bought my motor mount, shifter cable bushings, and a shifter **** from him.

Guys that already installed the motor mount, did you use antiseize?

Bought my mount from my HFD brother Mike who had it on his car and I used my stock bolts. I think it was made by ggp. I did add some crap to the bolts so they wouldn't get bonded to the mount. Something about electrolysis...at least that's what I remember.

HOLY CRAP THAT MOUNT IS AWESOME! Yes there is a lil vibration now, but no wheel hop, firm feel. I LOVE IT! I am use to feeling vibration in my cars and trucks though. I have had engery suspension motor mounts in every chevy i ever had just about. You feel vibration on start up, off idle rev. Other then that, when you are gettin it it doesn't feel bad at all. Tsudo mid pipe is the next thing for me. Ordering tonight!

Anti-sieze is always good to use. I like to use chain spray - from your pic, you know what that is.
It's really necessary when bolts go into aluminum to reduce that snapping noise when you undo them. The OEM's put it all together dry and the corrosion can be so bad it can strip the threads out as you undo it. Then you have to go with helicoils.

Torque Solution got a lifetime warranty also. So if the mount gets jacked up i hope they will take care of me.
