New 09 xB owner with a few questions...

Hi all, I have a few questions regarding an 09 xB I just bought. The car had 69,000 miles on it and seems in very good shape. It's a 5 speed and the clutch is strong.
My wife has an 09 xB auto and it's a very quiet car engine wise for reference.
Anyway, onto the questions.

My car seems loud in 1st and 2nd gear mostly. It seems like there's a lot of intake and valve train noise where there doesn't seem to be as much in my wife's. there is also some transmission noise, sort of whining between 2-3k rpm.
I've owned an 04 and 06 xB in stick
And they weren't as noisy.

I've heard the 2AZ-FE is a loud engine but it seems that a lot of engine noise makes it's way into the cabin.

If anyone can comment on their xB noise levels, or even better, a video of like 0-60 inside the car to get an idea of the sound, that would be awesome.

Thanks!

60 views and not a single comment? You gotta be better to a new-comer than this!

Are there any Modifications done? Such as intake , header , exhaust?

Nope, bone stock as far as I can tell.

Make a video for us to listen.
Maybe the snorkel was removed?
Only way to know is to hear.

Its going to be a bit hard to replicate. Not many people have 2 xBs to compare noises to. My 2AZ is only loud when I floor it. Scion is a more youth oriented car. Toyota did not put a lot sound deadening on it thus making it louder than most on their lineup.
Also putting up videos is not going to help. Everyone's phone is different and sound pickup is mediocre at best. Best thing to do is find someone local.

1st gear just get's you rolling and 2nd is just a bridge to 3rd. Both tend to be relatively noisy since both wind up quickly. The gearing in the auto is very different. Don't wind out the gears, just shift spryly through to 3rd and there shouldn't be a noise issue.

PS. OE crank pulley change to aftermarket will increase engine noise. If you prefer relatively quiet, stay OE.
