new xB owners...please post your MPG stats here

Shhhh, everyone will want to do that now.
I got my worse fuel economy in va beach helping my aunt shop for a coffee table and stopped at 11 furniture stores and dealing with rush hour traffic on the way down from richmond and back. It was slam the gas to the floor, get up to 30-60mph, then slamp on the brakes while looking over both shoulders to find a faster moving lane to whip into.

220 miles - 1 trip - 31mph average = 28.7
08 Auto
This is less than 1mpg less than my first gen1 auto - same trip, almost identical traffic & weather. I LIKE IT!

Just compared BP Invigorate and Shell Nitrogen fuels here. Both seem to do very well for MPG's.

As mine heads toward the 5000 mile mark, I am seeing its a lot harder to make it get less than 28. In the beginning, if I had a lead foot at all, id hit 26 or so. 5000 miles must be where she really starts getting broken in.

I have about 500 in my new B. I cleared the computer while running 75 on the interstate. After about 58 miles at 75 it showed an average of 31.9 mpg. Other than that I really don't intend to do calculations untill after at least 1000 miles. The engine needs to seat or wear-in. Even the book says the engine is not broken in untill after 1000 miles.

My xb2 (automatic) gets 25.6mpg no matter how I drive. I drive to and from work about 35 miles round trip and get 25.6mpg. I drove to South Dakota this summer and averaged almost 75 miles/hour and still got 25.7mpg. Even with a lead food and using the auto shift stick I still get around 25.6mpg. So yeah, 25.6mpg for me!!

just an update. I shift at 4k or so, depending, I'm averaging 28mpg on my drive to work (about 70/30 highway/city) and on pure highway I'm getting about 30-31mpg.
I keep pretty strict records of my mpg and mileage and have found with premium I tend to get about 1.2mpg better (not worth the price of gas increase)
