OK, so it's on and was pretty easy. I wont be writing it up, because the post here:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=156038

Is right on the money. I tried blocking the pulley to use a TQ wrench, but it was no go. When I loosened the bolt, the impact took about 8 pops, so when I put the bolt back on (with anti seize), I used 8 good pops to get it on. As a test, I put my car lugs back on the same way, then checked with a TQ wrench, and it was about 110ftlbs, so Im happy. As stated, note the belt path, because it's not quite as you might think it goes. Whole deal took about 2 hours, but next time it'd only take 1hr 15 min.

Once I got done dying of heat exhausting (its 100 here today, car read 104 in the garage), and got a shower, I headed out to the gym. Several 5 minute+ red lights, and the temp stayed in that under 1/2 way mark the whole time. I think the car is more responsive, I mean there's nothing on the butt dyno, which I wouldnt expect out of this mod, but it seems to go a little quicker. Also, the belt I took a picture of above, that came from NST, fits perfectly.

Isn't the lug nut torque 76 ft/lbs?
Nice job though.

Im sure the lugs are rated lower than 110, like I said, just an experiment. I'm gonna go back in at 30 days and check everything out. I hate not being able to tighten something like this to spec, but I have a pretty nice electric impact rated to 265ftlbs, so im sure it its on tight enough.

Ah. Just remember over-torqueing fasteners results in excessive stretch, weakening the fastener. ARP has some good info, as would be expected. http://www.arp-bolts.com/Tech/TechInstall.html

All's still going well, put a lot of miles on it this weekend, and have done several high rev runs and hard accelerations. Belt looks good, is very quiet, pulley looks good and smooth in rotation while engine is running.

My current opinion, is that NST makes a good product and the belt size they sent appears to work very well.

Update:

Everything is going well, A/C cools fine in 98-100 stop and go, as well as engine. Charging, with meter plugged inside car, is 13.98 volts while the engine is running.

Coingrats on your new pulley !

FWIW -- It's normal for more effort to be required to free a bolt or nut than to tighten it. For example, I always use high impact pressure to loosen and medium to tighten (finishing up by hand). The tighten gets me safely into the ballpark. Tightening at the same pressure level as loosening can result in broken fasteners (and does every day when the typical garage idiots use full pressure impact wrenches to re-install wheel nuts ).
