NST Shifter Bushings and TRD SSK

I had previously installed the NST shifter bushings and really liked them. I had been waiting on the TRD SSK and kinda just put it on the back burner. Well I came across one for a good deal. So I installed the TRD SSK tonight. It was actually really easy to install except the dang little clip that holds the TRD peice on. You have to go from the bottom up with the clip. Once I dropped it and refound it, I got it on there. Finished it up and took it for a drive.
I can say I really like it. I think between the NST and TRD peices you cant go wrong there. Nice and tight shifting and really reduced the throw. I say this is a good mod to do for the money for sure.

Glad it worked for you. I figured there had to be some variance from xB to xB with all of the mixed reviews.
Your gonna have to let me roll throw the gears and see how it is sometime.

would love to find a good deal on a trd ssk. Have Nst bushings collecting dust until I can find a trd ssk

Will do for sure. It was raining last night so I just cruised around. Then I didnt drive it today since the roads are still all wet and people here can not drive in the rain. LOL

Thanks I just noticed this is for gen 2, I wonder if the one for the Yaris would fit the gen 1?

I really doubt it since the shift linkage is so far different.

NoLimitzBuilt 12-22-2008 01:56 AM

ok, so I drove mine last night for about 70 miles and really have to say I like the NST shifter bushings teamed up with the TRD SSK. It is very quick and right on when you shift.

not to thread jack but when u buy the SSK from trdsparks do u get the cf shift nob too? the trd ssk and the nst brushings r my next mode hehe

The SSK does not come with the CF knob. The knob is $55 bucks by itself.
