Default Replace the air filter on my 2010 xB w/ TRD CAI... HOW?!?!

HOW in the heck do you change the air filter for the TRD CAI system?! I've searched the forums here and can't find anything.

The dealer wants to charge an arm & a leg to do it, so I don't want to pay them when it's probably something I can do myself.

Thanks!

What model trd is it?
If it looks like the stock air box but with a trd symbol on it you need the first filter.

It's just the "standard" TRD CAI that the dealer installed back when I bought it in 2010. It's got the long silver intake "tube" that goes down towards the lower front left bumper. I can't see into the box it goes into to see what filter is in there.

Looks like this (not my car):

It should be the second filter you posted then.
You could try to reach it from undoing some clips / snaps from under the cars plastic belly pan.
You could look first before buying if you like.

It's a reusable air filter so you can use any K&N cleaner and oil with it. I've used the K&N product on mine with out any issue.
However, getting to it is a bit of a mess and headache...
Follow the installation instructions here.
If you don't want to remove a wheel, you can easily remove the front bumper outlined here.

If you're requesting to purchase a new filter, I am unsure of the part. Upon removal you can measure the filter and check on K&N's universal part of their website.

Hope this helps!

Thanks everyone.... I appreciate the help.

Funny side note...

Toyota of Hollywood wants to charge me $48.60 for the cleaning & oiling kit.

Keyes Toyota of Van Nuys only charges $19.80 for the SAME cleaning & oiling kit. Plus, their parts guys said it's cheaper if I just go buy the K&N cleaning & oiling kit from any automotive parts store and use that. LoL

WTF?!?!?

True... HaHa

When I told the parts guy at Toyota of Hollywood how much cheaper the other Toyota dealer was selling it for, he went silent and said nothing. I asked again why they were charging so much and he only said, "Well, do you want me to order it or not?"

Ummmm.....NO thanks.
