Vehicle 2012 Scion xB 2.4L manual. replacing clutch and flywheel, cracked my secondary or upper oil pan in the process just need to know if I can just buy and install
or do I have to go through the complicated process of basically rebuilding an engine? No access to all data or other similar items.

You should be able to just replace. It contains the balance shafts and oil pump and such but it is separate and below the crank assembly.
