Oil Consumption / Crankcase Additives..
I am original owner of a 2008 xB Gen2, (122K). Long ago I noticed oil consumption. I mentioned it to a mechanic acquaintance who said all cars consume at some level. I didn't give it much thought, and never learned how much oil it truly consumed because I was taught an a early age to check, fluids when I would stop for gas. I continued to keep things things topped-off with each fuel stop. Later, I began to poke around and learned of the TSB, and the consumption test. I also learned of a host of stories out there about Toyota blowing of the test, and not follow-up on the TSB. When I finally had time to really research and follow through, I had passed the mileage, criteria.
I still continue to check my fluids at all fuel stops, I am seeking advise, thoughts or opinions a suitable crankcase additive if applicable. Something perhaps that might slow the consumption, and possibly prolong the. life of my engine. I got half a mind to keep up what I have been doing.

Not familiar with oil additives. Try an engine oil with a low NOACK rating. Try to always use the engine's recommended oil weight, particularly if you have variable valve timing. Thicker oil doesn't necessarily lubricate better (and may take even longer to reach VVT components.)
