TRD CAI & exhaust installed. Happy camper here
Put the CAI and exhaust on tonight. It's nice to have a friend who is a tech at a Toyota dealership.
My initial impressions:
-The nice low tone from the TRD exhaust was a pleasant surprise.
-The engine seems to idle smoother now with the CAI. might be my imagination.
-It does seem a tad bit zippier. Again, this may just be my imagination.
Removing the stock air box does leave a nice big cavity in the engine compartment. A little odd to look at at first. And getting the plastic engine cover back on with the strut brace installed was a major pain in the ****.
All in all I am quite pleased. I got the exhaust off evilbay for $250 brand new and the CAI was $275.
