Default VSC, ABS and Traction Control Lights on..

My Scion xB 2009 with 87k miles has had its ABS, Traction Control, and VSC lights come on only on sometimes and my engine maintenance pops up constantly (I’m pretty sure that’s because of the evap) not sure what the VSC, ABS, and Traction Control lights are though.

The only codes that pop up are related to the Evap system and didn’t know if that could be the case. I also have some big speaker modifications if maybe that could be the issue but I don’t know how that would be related if anyone has any ideas let me know.

Depending on which Evap codes you have it may be as simple as tightening your gas cap, or replacing it with a new factory one.

Since all those codes reference the Vacuum Pump Module I would start with a visual inspection of it and make sure all the connectors are clean, tight and not damaged. It is located under the rear of the car just behind the gas tank. The module is actually mounted to the charcoal cannister.

One thing that creates a problem is over filling the gas tank . The excess fuel spills into the breather . It fills into a canister . Over time it can get clogged up.Throws a code E Vap .
