Hey, at least the car appears to be running with the kit.
It just makes me wonder, what you could get out of one of those $900 kits with a little upgrading (Turbo mainly, BOV, management).
It sure as hell is cheaper than anything else on the market, but I will prolly end up going with the turbotoyotas route because it is tried and tested + reputable.

I have seen the kit in person. It looks good, and that box is QUICK! He was at the Scion Evo show on Saturday showing it off...

coryjames 06-02-2008 10:55 PM

only 170 whp? little off i hope i dont get thouse kinda numbers i would cry

2_much_tc 06-02-2008 10:58 PM

^ this thing also has no management, and stock exhaust... wait till he gets the tuning done...

coryjames 06-02-2008 10:59 PM

yeah true lol i will have managment and a full 3 inch turbo back running a gt3076 with the aem fic tuned to 10 pounds i better see 300-330 hp

XD40tC 06-03-2008 06:14 PM

And its an automatic. That should be at least 200whp on a 5spd.

tainoxl 06-03-2008 08:50 PM

It is still a gamble, I've been down the ebay turbo route, nothing bolts right on everything always needs modification and the turbo is a 50/50 chance. You get what you pay for, remember that. Good numbers for 5psi untuned.

Cinderblock 06-03-2008 11:24 PM

this was at the show and glow on saturday, it looked really clean, except for the outlet coupler, it was to big for the turbo neck. side moint ic and everything, pretty stealth kit, well with the hood shut lol.

coryjames 06-03-2008 11:43 PM

i wouldnt chance that

dyxb 06-05-2008 06:33 PM

I checked on their website too, they had some kits for the Hondas... prices are very tempting, but think of the smog checks down the road, I wouldn't want to be hassled.

BTW, I have heard couple cam or crankshafts have been broken from the dealerships, this engine might not be as stong as everyone thought it would be... some of the engine parts are made in China that I heard.

coryjames 06-05-2008 06:41 PM

this engine is stout tc guys have been having no problems

dyxb 06-06-2008 06:27 AM

Yeah, it might not be a common problem, but TMS has received around 6 cases involve broken shafts. I guess it just doesn't want to be pushed too much...

1vicissitude 06-06-2008 07:32 PM

So I emailed them last night. They said the kit will be around $2000 and it will be bolt on. Also said that thier website should be completely redone in 1-2 weeks.

dyxb 06-07-2008 01:01 AM

2K huh? but for only 180hp... kinda weak

ummm... if you read my post above, i clearly stated that the car had no management and a stock exhaust... so think of the results once everything gets completed....

dyxb 06-10-2008 04:45 AM

But after it is all tuned up w/ fuel management installed to make horsepower goes up, so as the price? Or $2k will include all the goodies?
