DAMN now this I am VERY interested in. How does this kit run on an auto trans?
and is there and legitimate installers on the east coast u would recommend.

and off topic, but im purchasing your carbon fiber front bumper cap for the xb, i think it looks awesome, but how about a trunk hatch handle cf cap as well? i think it would accent it nicely.

thanks!

Glad to see a new kit out but that FMIC is oogly. BTW is it open wastegated?

Kit works well with Auto Trans on the set 8psi, no issues. CF Bumper Cap fits perfectly with stock or aftermarket grilles. Easily installed with 3M double sided tape.

And as for opinions of our FMIC, if you dont like it there is another kit available with a pointless side mount:gun:

Got any dyno results for an AT XB2?

we just installed our kit on an 08 xB A/T back on the 15th. Install was done on a weekend and he had to drive back to NorCal for work the following Monday. I will get with him and the other A/T's to see if they have had a chance to dyno yet. Stay posted.

Since FastScions hasn't replied in a while I'll offer my 2 cents on the subject. A lot of TC owners have boosted their AT cars and the concensus among the majority of them appears to be that anything beyond 250whp causes immediate problems such as clutch pack slippage. In my experience, 220whp/wtq (6psi in my case) seems to work well but when I ran 7psi the trans felt like it was slipping a lot on the 1-2 shift and I didn't feel very confident in the tranny's longevity at this power level.

Of course, every setup is different and 8psi on a FastScion's kit with stock exhaust and TB might make less than 250whp/wtq. The bad news is that if you're looking for more than 250whp/wtq you'll probably need a $3000 trans upgrade from IPT or Level Ten and neither of them has been long-term proven. Their $700 valve body upgrades seem to help a little but IPT told me not to expect any power handling improvement over stock, just quicker shifts.

On a more positive note, adding 100whp to your AT XB is still a lot of fun and all you really need is an external ATF cooler. If +100whp isn't enough you should really consider a MT swap or better yet, a different car.

well thank you scion fred! im glad someone like you is on the net! i really think i want to to a 2ar-fe motor and a u760e tranny swap before turbo. in a few years we will know if the newer 6-speed tranny can hold more.

my customers with AT are running external trans coolers. have an auto in PA about to dyno his '08 this week. he also purchased our custom 3" exhaust to go along with this kit.

Fred knows his stuff and ext. cooler will only get you so far. Another A/T customer is purchasing this kit for christmas, and IPT is already working on the trans to accomodate our kit. However, IPT told him that it will support more power than stock AND quicker shifts.

Just thought i would rebump this,

I have a Built Auto from Level Ten (full Rebuild)
Fastscions.com Turbo Kit
CP Pistons
JP Rods
BC Cams
BC Valves Springs / Retainers
Hotchkis front and rear sways
Unichip

Amazing customer service from Joe and Fastscions.com My car is being built as we speak. Will update when i get dyno results. Made a apt for dyno tune on march 2nd. Results will come shortly after.

Roller_Toaster 02-08-2012 05:40 PM

^You're going to drive it for over a month with no tune??

ThatGuyAtGeweke 02-11-2012 06:07 AM

yah, that was my plan, not hehehe. I have the unichip, it has a map designed for up to 12, and works at 12psi flawlessly with no need for (dyno tune) however im going to anyways.

UPDATE???

wantxb 04-10-2012 06:50 PM

Does the unichip go into the stock ecu or is it a piggyback unit? Also it will be good to have a wideband correct?

ThatGuyAtGeweke 11-11-2012 11:20 PM

After spending months and months learning the unichip how it works with our ecus I am now capable of tuning myself. I'm running 290 hp 320 trq to the wheels at 11 psi I now have a flawless fuel map all trims are + - 10%. 11.8 open loop. Working on 18 psi map now I'm on a built auto btw

Yes unichip is a piggy back and yes wideband is good to prevent detonaboom.
