Default Turbo Toyotas - Buffalo -(Lots of Pics)

Okay, well i ordered my kit from Todd a while ago... Maybe in the beginning of May. For the most part i think he did a good job and while i still had to finish some of my kit myself. it doesn't bother me too much. I am lucky to have friends around me who are willing to help me.

I will post pictures of all of the stuff that i received. I started to dry fit some stuff last night and i removed everything from the car that needed to be removed. The biggest problem that we ran in to last night was the down pipe not exactly lining up with the stock exhaust. Todd did tell me that might be an issue and to order the CX Racing exhaust. so i did order that but it wont be here till Thursday. the only other issue i saw was the coolant line ended up being in the way for the air filter off the turbo. I have a blow through kit so my air filter sits directly on the turbo.

One thing that needs to be said is that i probably would have never got this far without the help of Cory James. I must have called him 50 times, asked 100 questions and every time he tries to help me. One of the nicest people i have talked to. Seriously walked me though a lot so far, and i am sure i will be calling him every night this week with more questions. haha. anyways. i will post some pics in a couple. And the goal is to have the car up and running by Saturday. I work during the day so i can only work on my car when i get out of work.

Stay Tuned...

I also got couplers, oil feed and drain lines, gaskets, everything else that goes with the oil feed and drain, lots of packing peanuts, a flange that needs to be welded on to the charge pipe for the mass air flow sensor, a large piece of pipe that is suppose to be used to mount the bov, which i did not get and i guess thats about it.

So here are some pictures last night. I was just test fitting everything and seeing how stuff actually lined up.

Hard to see but the coolant line is in the way of the air filter, so i am deciding on what i want to do. I think i am just going to reroute the coolant line.

This is our biggest issue, the exhaust not lining up correctly. But like i said i will hold judgement until i have the CX Racing exhaust here to see how it lines up.

And just some random pictures of the giant mess that the AEM Fic really is. We extended all the wires so that i could mount the FIC controller under the passenger dash. That was not a fun job at all.
After we finish, i will then clean up all the wires and wrap them so they look all pretty. lol. And thank god for my buddy who is good at soldering.

the center cart on the turbo needs to be turned 180 so the drain is on the bottom. and for the filter i think your going to have to do what we talked about add a elbow or something to get it by ill get some pics to you of what i did i just ran my pipe under it and foreced it out the way seems to be fine so far

Lucky you I ordered my kit May of last year and still waiting on parts, you def gonna have to get either the dp or cx exhaust modded. That flange on the dp may not work with a donout gasket and spring bolts, also that is how far off my dp was. You gotta have something in there for play either the spring bolt setup or flexpipe. While your at it make sure your manifold is flat and not warped. Hopefully my manifold should be here tomorrow, ups missed me today. Good luck, keep us updated.

Thanks the info is great. I will have to wait and see until tomorrow about the exhaust. last night i got the intercooler bolted up, old exhaust all off, my pipes that needed to be welded mocked up and wired in the rc 650 injectors. its so funny the old ones are so tiny compared to the new ones.
