owning an xb and doing led swaps is all new business to me. It looks like from doing some searching this is either a DIY or a service some members will provide? Is it typically like a core swap or do you live without gauges for a week?

Also what about the radio? The radio is all amber, can that be changed as well?

ehh.. you should've seen the Scion Backstage guys when i was tearing apart the pre-production cars that were err... uhm... on display...

there won't be any core swaps for the gauges because of the odo reading is always stored ont he cluster itself.
nd yeah.. radio can be changed.

Squalllheart is this a service you offer? I'm in the east bay near walnut creek/concord. I would love to have my gauges swapped to a different color.

sure. i can take a look.

because of the new layout and the colored gaugefaces, i'm not sure yet as far as any limitations swapping into the new xB... but as far as doing it? sure... i can solder fine and among the best

doing anything tomorrow night? check the pad mid forum area.. there's a wingstop meet in hayward tomorrow night.

This is what it looks like with blue LED Conversion and stock gauge face...

I've took the picture close to what it looks in person..
Gauge face lights up greenish blue...

That is stock...
Blue light won't shine through that well..
Turns into like dim greenish-blue color.....

Still waiting for an 08 to roll in I have an idea to make the stock faces as bright as the rest. Just need a test car !

I've change the resistor, didn't make much of a different..
LED isn't the issue... it's the stock gauge face's amber paint that reduce the brightness and makes the color greenish-blue color....
