Custom Scion XB09 Gauges

I'm installing green leds to the circuit board but i need a new like overlay so it doesnt come out like orangey/green. Where can i find a good one that utilizes green in it ?

can you please direct to the right way and tell me how to go about doing this swap?

thanks for your help in advance

well, just like your friend says, with the gaugeface, that orange is gonna stay put pretty well. i've done a few led swaps with the xB2, and the lcd screens come out great looking, however the color really has a hard time showing thru the stock gaugefaces.

for the color to really come thru, i would recommend printing out another set of gaugefaces yourself, or if you can afford it, find someone else to do it for you.

a very expensive, but high quality alternative is to look into ledmod.com as they make gaugefaces. their prices range high as i believe he wants about $150 for just an aftermarket gaugeface he produces.

i'd say look into printing out something on your own :P

this means we would need the faceplate and the LEDs to make the conversion correct?

well the leds can be changed on the circuit board itself....but if you dont change the face plate it will take ur new color and mix it with the original orange face plate...in my case it would be a gross orangy/green color

www.customxbgauges.com has many gauges in lots of colors. Maybe one of them can be helpful to you?

btw, I'm not affiliated with them at all.

I'd have to say you have to only gauge face with tats, piercings and hooters on the planet :P

THere's a DIY thread on how to make your own, that's all I used

it really isnt all that hard

ledmod.com has the gauge and can do one for you if you just explain it to him abt hoe you want it and the good thing is that you dont see the little signals and stuff but they appear if they light up like on my pic

yea hit up the DIY thread... i've made my own (with pretty decent results):

to get the colors from ur LEDs to seep-through correctly and cleanly, u'd need a transparent grayscale mask (100% clear on the stuff that u want lit up) and another separate mask of vellum paper (using maybe 25% transparency to prevent bleedthrough.

check the thread out though, there are better details there. ... thread is started by unity i believe.
