couldnt have put it better myself. before you yank out pieces that are under other pieces just look around for screws. i know that may not make sense, but when you start pulling the dash apart it will make sense...

There is a DIY tutorial on the LED swap for the dash lights. Search and you will find.

I took mine simi-apart and installed LED's in my a/c vents. Wasn't to difficult. Took a solid day to get it done for me.

1. remove neg battery cable and then pop off the a pillars
2. remove radio bezel and trim around cluster
3. pull the radio, instrument cluster and the screws where the trim and bezel were
4. remove glove box and remove nut holding the passenger airbag in place (up behind where the glovebox was)
5. lift out dash

Yea, I didn't find where that airbag bolt was at until I had finished everything. Next time it'll be alot easier once that bolts out

I personally only used 1 Super bright LED from oznium in all four vents and it lit it up good enough for me. When it gets darker out I will try and take some pics. I'm going to put an LED into the passanger side defrost vent when I take the dash out here in a couple of weeks, along with sticking two cathodes up in the front window defrost vents.

mnscionxb 01-29-2008 01:22 AM

cool i got 4 sets of purple cathodes and 10 red superflux 4 chip red

Amaran06 03-08-2008 01:18 AM

so your telling me there is only one nut holding the whole dash?? wut about the other side driver side no nuts??
